WETH (Wrapped ETH) is a currency that allows users to make pre-authorized bids that can be fulfilled at a later date without any further action from the bidder. WETH is used to buy and sell with auctions on OpenSea. ETH and WETH are worth exactly the same amount and can be exchanged directly on your OpenSea profile.
To exchange ETH into WETH to be used on auctions and for bids, click the wallet icon on the top right corner of your OpenSea page.
A smaller window will pop up asking how much ETH you’d like to convert to WETH.
Type in how much you’d like to convert, and then click Wrap ETH. \ [The starting price for the 1/1s at Auction on April 26th will be 0.30 W/ETH]
A MetaMask window will appear, asking you to sign the transaction.
Following a successful conversation, WETH will appear in the wallet portion of your OpenSea account. You’ll be able to clearly see the difference between WETH and ETH, as WETH has a pink Ethereum diamond logo.
